    The SP4E/SP4X supports PCIe NVMe Gen4 x4 through providing read and write throughput up to 6300 MB/s and 3500 MB/s respectively. Its random read and write performance could reach up to 900K and 190K respectively. Its unrivaled performance addresses the complicated IO workload in the data center. The SP4E/SP4X reaches 390K IOPs in a 4K 7:3 read/write mixed scenario even with lower OP (1920GB/3840GB/7680GB), delivering the best user experience under all kinds of workload and traffic.

    By upgrading the SSD controller to SMI SM8266 and leveraging intelligent algorithms including those on NAND’s program/Erase Suspend, SPE4E/SPEX provides a superb steady-state QoS latency. The 99.99% QoS latency under QD64 for 7:3 mixed read/write workload is under 10 milliseconds to ensure great application experience..

  • End-to-end data protection technology guarantees data integrity.

    End-to-end data protection provides complete data detection with recovery engines that result in strengthened data integrity throughout the entire Host-to-NAND-to-Host data path. The data recovery algorithm effectively detects any error in the SSD data path, including hardware (i.e., ASIC) errors, firmware errors, and memory errors arising in the SRAM, DRAM, or NAND. SMI SM8266 controller’s unique NANDXtend ECC technology is combined with LDPC (low-density parity-check) and RAID Data Recovery correction technologies. The three-layer error correction algorithm decodes in parallel and remedies errors quickly with precision to guarantee data accuracy. It comes with complete power loss data protection, capacitance reliability detection, and high-temperature monitoring and thermal throttling protection capabilities, which fully meet the UBER< 1 sector of 10^17 bits with enterprise-level MTBF more than two million working hours.

  • Compliance with the latest telemetry standards offers efficient fault analysis and trouble shooting capabilities.

    The SP4E/SP4X supports the OCP spec telemetry standards to log similar data activity onto hard disks. Clients only need regular nvme commands to retrieve the internal SSD daily logs for manufacturers for trouble shooting, which is highly increasing the RMA efficiency.
